I updated the AC97 drivers but I can't find them in device manager - there is no option for a multimedia sound controller, just Realtek HD sound driver and Realtek display audio. The correct 2.2.0 virtual device will be downloaded from the Genymotion. Always suggest to update virtual devices if an update is. The latest adb (v1.0.40) was incompatible with our adb tunnel : This has been fixed. The version of VirtualBox bundled in the Windows installer has been updated to 5.2.14. Add a new device (for instance 'Google Nexus 7 2013'). Adb tunnel (used to access Genymotion Cloud devices) now warns if an old version is already running.

However I found a solution (I assume some sort of similar procedure applies to Windows PCs): proceed to a fresh install of Genymotion 2.2.0 on another Mac (let's call it: 'source'). So, I'm pretty new to Virtualbox, but I am trying to play an app game using the latest version of Genymotion which is using Virtualbox to emulate a Google Pixel 3 phone.
